Art City 2010 is being held from Monday February 22 until Wednesday February 24.  Architects Without Borders is currently seeking volunteers who would love to work and share their creativity with a young crowd during this three day workshop.

This year's workshop is an interaction with cities.  What do they look like and feel like?  How are they built and destroyed?  How do they interact with nature?

Monday: Ugly City vs. Pretty City - Participants will split up into two groups to build two cities - one ugly and one pretty.  In the process, participants will need to question the meaning behind codes of aesthetics.
Tuesday: Light and Atmosphere - Participants will experiment in the creation of different atmospheric settings through molding various light sculptures.  Participants will use these light sculptures to emulate different weather patterns upon the ugly/pretty cities.
Wednesday: Build and Destroy - participants will be asked to design and build a mechanism that can, in itself, destroy the cities.

All volunteers must have a police check done at City Hall.  Please contact Tanya at  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for more information.
