2009 - James Frank

Lyantonde Secondary School & Kesenene Primary School, Uganda

James Frank (M.L.Arch student) recently travelled to Uganda to collect information for two new projects.  Lyantonde Secondary School, located three and a half hours southwest of Kampala, is in need of a computer lab that will bring internet access to their students and community members.  Closer to the capital city, Kesenene Primary School has identified a need for general improvements to their existing school and courtyard.  Both projects have been identified by the directors of the school and supported by the Mondetta Charity Foundation.  Read more here.

Katebo, Uganda

Marla used the scholarship to participate in a University of Manitoba travel-study course; Service Learning in the Global Community.  In 2008 the class travelled to Katebo, Uganda.  Read more here.
