2009 - James Frank

Lyantonde Secondary School & Kesenene Primary School, Uganda

James Frank (M.L.Arch student) recently travelled to Uganda to collect information for two new projects.  Lyantonde Secondary School, located three and a half hours southwest of Kampala, is in need of a computer lab that will bring internet access to their students and community members.  Closer to the capital city, Kesenene Primary School has identified a need for general improvements to their existing school and courtyard.  Both projects have been identified by the directors of the school and supported by the Mondetta Charity Foundation.  Read more here.

Mission
Architects Without Borders Canada is a volunteer organization committed to assisting communities affected by poverty, disaster or pandemic. One of our primary objectives is to promote the humanitarian aspects of design while engaging in meaningful real-world partnerships with affected communities.

With industry professionals, graduates, and students from the University of Manitoba, AWB Canada members have a wide range of experience in Architecture, City Planning, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. At present, we have contributed to projects in Tanzania, Uganda, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Nepal, and Cambodia. We also support several non-profit organizations in Winnipeg.

Nous supportons également plusieurs organisations à but non lucratif à Winnipeg.
